Room for Hope
For many, Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services is synonymous with shelter - providing a warm bed, a safe retreat and a step toward a better future.
At Christine Ann, we provide more than just bedrooms for shelter residents. While we provide shelter to hundreds of women and children each year, we support over a thousand people in their journey to safety, in rooms of all shapes and sizes:
- A welcoming room to greet someone as they come through our doors for the first time...
- A private room to talk through a difficult situation and develop safety plans...
- A room large enough to facilitate support groups and train volunteers...
- And another that is small enough to provide solace to someone in crisis.
Right now, meeting these needs is a challenge.
We sorely lack the space and rooms needed to provide the vital support services that help families move from crisis to success. With your help, we can change that.
The Room for Hope campaign is a $2 million capital project that will improve and enhance the emergency shelter facility and offices at Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Inc. in Oshkosh and prepare us for the future. This much-needed renovation will allow us to create the rooms and spaces necessary to better meet the needs of our community.
