Christine Ann Receives Major Pillow Donation from Simmons KidsŪ

Menasha, WI - August 5, 2008 --- Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services has received a donation of over 400 pillows from Simmons KidsŪ.
Said Julie Fevola, Christine Ann's Executive Director, "The pillows are a wonderful donation to the agency. When families enter emergency shelter, it is great to be able to offer them a new pillow. I know they will give great comfort to the women and children staying at the Christine Ann Center." She added, "It's also terrific to be able to give them to clients when they are ready to leave shelter."

Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services' emergency shelter, the Christine Ann Center provides a safe, temporary haven for more than 250 individuals and families experiencing a domestic violence crisis each year. Victims entering shelter receive basic care essentials and supportive services while they maintain their own living space and take care of familiy needs. In addition to emergency shelter, the agency offers a comprehensive array of critical programs and services to meet the special needs of victims including a 24-hour Helpline, 1:1 advocacy, support groups for all ages, linkage to community resources and legal advocacy. The agency also offers community education and prevention presentations as well as offender intervention programs that provide a vehicle for creating awareness and stopping the cycle of violence.
