Menasha, WI - March 21 --- Guests can enjoy an evening of a lively music blend of jazz, blues and even a little funk while supporting victims of domestic abuse by attending the 2nd Annual "Spring into Jazz", a special benefit performance featuring the popular Woody Mankowski Quartet. The benefit will be held this year on Friday, April 11 from 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. at Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah. All proceeds from the event will support Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Service's shelter, advocacy services and education programs. "Spring into Jazz" is sponsored by Wealth Management LLC.
"Domestic abuse affects too many women and children in this community, and we're honored to be able to support these important services," said Jim Putman, president and CEO of Wealth Management. "We're especially excited to welcome back Woody Mankowski to this second annual event. We had a wonderful time supporting a great cause last year, and we look forward to an exciting evening once again this year."
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Woody Mankowski's unique blend of music combined with his far ranging singing style appeals to everyone and results in a dynamic performance. As a free-lance musician, Mr. Mankowski has backed up popular artists such at The Temptations, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, James Ingram, Peabo Bryson and others. He has performed in orchestras for touring Broadway shows including "The Producers", "Chicago" and "Hairspray". In addition to leading the Woody Mankowski Jazz Quartet, he frequently collaborates with other musicians in the Midwest and tours as a soloist and appears with major symphonies in the United States performing the male lead in "The Baseball Music Project'.
"We're honored to have the support of the Woody Mankowski Quartet and Wealth Management in our fight against domestic violence in this community," said Julie Fevola, director of the Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services. "Our agency helps and educates thousands of women and children each year, and we're able to keep making an impact in part because of events like Spring into Jazz."
Reserve tickets are $75 per person or for groups of 8 or more $50 per person. 100% of the ticket price will benefit women and children in the community affected by domestic abuse. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar available. For reservations, please call Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services at (920)-729-5727.
