Client Advocacy Services

The Client Advocacy Services Program is the agency's most significant program in terms of the number of clients served, assisting victims in developing a logical path toward self-sufficiency.

The program provides clients with comprehensive support services including individual options advocacy, safety planning, support groups, legal advocacy and referral to community resources in order to meet the often complex needs of clients such as housing, financial assistance, child care, medical, mental health, parenting support, transitional living services, and employment and training programs. Advocates attend legal hearings, including restraining order and divorce hearings, accompany victims to appointments and help them fill out paperwork for other community services.

The goal of the program is to increase safety and to strengthen the self-sufficiency of victims caught in the cycle of abuse, moving them from victims to survivors.
