Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services has ongoing volunteer needs in a variety of shelter and program areas. Below are brief descriptions of opportunities that have a tremendous impact on agency operations. For a downloadable list of current volunteer opportunities, click here. (PDF document).
Compassionate and responsible volunteers needed to assist by greeting and directing clients and donors, answering phones, keeping up office logs and scheduling appointments. Training provided and required. Volunteers also have the option to receive special training for the 24-Hour Helpline.
Donate your time and talent to keep the center in tip-top shape. Volunteer opportunities include cleaning, yard work, shoveling, repairs, and working on special shelter projects. Also needed are enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to help with upkeep of donations and shelter organization projects.
Volunteers are needed to give children at the shelter attention, support, and guidance. Experiences include spending time with children, chaperoning scheduled activities and participating in weekly support groups.
Commitment Required: 1 night/week for a minimum of 3-4 months.
Volunteers are needed in Christine Ann's Menasha office to answer phones and perform other office duties. Schedule is flexible.
Join an enthusiastic group of people who help execute the agency's many critical fundraising and community awareness events. Major events include Men Who Cook for Christine Ann, Race for the Light, and Take Back the Night.
If you have a few hours to share, Christine Ann invites you to become part of the agency's one time group project team. Projects include event support, shelter indoor or outdoor maintenance, large shelter organization projects, seasonal yard work, holiday program support, and much more.
Teen group volunteers are also encouraged to inform and educate their peers about domestic violence. Projects include food and clothing drives, Adopt-a-Family programs, cash and donation collection and much more.
Volunteers are needed to transport survivors from Green Lake and Winnebago Counties to medical, legal and employment appointments. Both mileage and liability expenses are covered by Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services.
