10th Annual "Men Who Cook" a huge success

For 10 years, it has been challenging men to don aprons, ready a recipe and command a kitchen to help end abuse. This year: No different. Our 10th annual "Men Who Cook For Christine Ann" on Saturday, June 26 was a huge success, rallying volunteer chefs and our community of supporters around the mission to support survivors and end domestic abuse. In its 10-year history, Men Who Cook has raised more than $750,000 fueling Christine Ann's work, from children programs to victim advocacy to public and school education. Readers of the Oshkosh Northwestern have, for four years, labeled "Best Local Charity Event" in the newspaper's "Best of Oshkosh" reader awards.

This year's 10th Annual Men Who Cook for Christine Ann featured more than 60 volunteer chefs.

"Men Who Cook" is a key fundraising event for Christine Ann; it also helps draw attention to the fact that domestic violence remains a serious issue in our communities. Just as importantly, it is part of the agency's efforts to more actively engage men in the work to end violence against women.

The agency would like to thank 2010 Executive Chef Sponsors: Affinity Health Systems, Castle Pierce Printing, Cumulus Broadcasting, Menasha Corporation Foundation, the Oshkosh Northwestern and SPARK Advertising. We also thank all of the supporting sponsors, donors, volunteers, attendees and most especially the more than 60 chefs of Men Who Cook for Christine Ann.
