A Safe Environment to deal with Fears & Feelings

Our Youth Services are for children and teens who have witnessed and/or experienced domestic abuse and/or dating violence. Youth Advocates work one-on-one with youth ages 4-19 to help them process trauma, de-normalize abuse, learn aspects of healthy relationships, build positive coping skills, and grow their self-confidence. These efforts help interrupt the cycle of abuse and prevent it from repeating.

In addition to one-on-one Advocacy, we provide Prevention Education presentations to thousands of elementary, middle, and high school youth each year. These presentations teach youth about healthy friendships and dating relationships, red flags of abuse, how to help someone else, and the services available through Christine Ann.

Our Youth Team facilitates support groups focused on healthy relationship alongside community partners – these groups are for school-age youth. We also have an LGBTQ+ specific group for high school students. Reach out to our Youth Team Lead for further information.

Youth & Prevention Advocates

The agency's youth advocates' role is to be a safe person for youth, providing emotional support while discussing healthy relationships, developing healthy coping skills, and building self-esteem primarily in a 1:1 setting. The advocate works with the youth to recognize and acknowledge emotions and healthily express them. The overall goal of the program is to enhance the safety and quality of life for children and teens who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence.
